Is it just me? (Spoiler: It never is.)

Why community is the most powerful tool we have for mental health.

If you’ve ever asked yourself “What’s wrong with me?” or “Why am I like this?” — you’re not alone.

We know that voice. We’ve heard it, too.

And if you’ve ever found yourself stuck in an anxious spiral, overwhelmed with guilt, trying to hold it together on the outside while everything feels heavy inside — we want to say something you might not hear enough:

You are not the only one.

Anxiety has a way of isolating us.

It tells us no one else thinks this way.
That our fears are weird, our coping is broken, and our thoughts are too much.
That we’re too much.

But here’s the truth:
Anxiety thrives in silence.
It loses power in connection.

We didn’t always know that.

When we (Lindsay and Emily) first started Presently, we were just two sisters trying to make sense of our own mental health.

We didn’t know how many people had similar stories — or how deeply that question “Is it just me?” lives in so many of us.

Then we started hearing from you.

From the person who wore their bracelet to their first therapy session.
From the parent who gave one to their child before a tough school year.
From the therapist who keeps a reminder on their desk — for themselves, not just their clients.

We realized Presently wasn’t just a product.

It was a reminder that healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

Why we believe in community over inspiration

There are lots of brands out there that want to “motivate” you.
We’re not one of them.

We believe in holding space for discomfort.
In meeting anxiety with honesty — not toxic positivity.
In building tools that feel like a deep breath, not a command to just “calm down.”

And most importantly:
We believe in community.

Not the fluffy, surface-level kind — the kind rooted in shared struggle and mutual support.

The kind that reminds you:

🌀 You’re not the only one who spirals.
🌫️ You’re not the only one who overthinks every text.
💭 You’re not the only one whose brain says scary things that don’t feel like you.
❤️🩹 And you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

This is your reminder

If you’ve ever felt too anxious, too sensitive, too stuck, or too unsure of how to cope —
you’re exactly who we made Presently for.

You deserve to feel supported, understood, and empowered at every step of your mental health journey.

And if no one has said it to you recently, let us be the first:

It’s not just you. It never was.

We’re so glad you’re here.

With you—always,

With you—always, Presently.
